GDI Ukraine Impact Trip

In country hosts will be Pastor Igor Fedorovich and his wife, Suzanna. Igor is the Professor of Ecclesiology  and Director of Evangelism and Church Planting at Kyiv Theological Seminary. They founded Resurrection Church ten years ago and have been emphasizing discipleship for their congregation. Recently, they were introduced to Discipleship Essentials, and discipling in gender specific micro groups. They have started using the material in English, but are completing translations in Russian and Ukrainian. 

Trip at a glance: We will arrive in Kyiv March 11. The first few days will include orientation, site seeing, a pastor’s meeting and a teen meeting. Saturday we will conduct disciple-making training for pastors and church leaders, and Resurrection Church will host the event.  On Sunday, we will share testimonies and preach in Ukrainian churches. The following week there is a seminary course for church planters at Kyiv Theological Seminary. We will share our experiences in disciple-making, and much of the course time will be ours. We return home on Saturday, March 21. 

Trip prerequisites: Leading or participation in a discipleship quad or triad. Russian or Ukrainian language skills would be helpful but not essential. You will need a valid passport with at least 6 months before expiration beyond the return date of our trip.
