Hello, my name is Abee Koning! I will be 12 when I go on a missions trip to Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia this October. There will be 15 of us going from two local churches, and five of us will be teens or kids! It will be a busy, fun and amazing 10-day trip, I'm sure! We will be visiting the Kebebe Tsehai and Kechene government orphanages, Adera daycare and feeding programs, the city landfill, as well as a farm for women with severe health problems to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I am super exited to meet lots of kids and to play with them, hold them, and feed them. I hope that our presence there will show the love that God has for those children and women in need. I'm also very excited to see the ways that God loves people who live in a very different place than where I live.
My dad and I want to ask for prayer, and also financial support. The total cost for me to go on the trip is around $2100. I am stepping out in faith and knowing that God can provide this amount, as well as finances for the rest of our team! Please consider helping in any way you can. We will also be asking for donations (formula, diapers, vitamins, etc.) as we get a little closer to the trip.
To help raise money, I am hoping to do some weeding around your house, mowing your yard, walking your dog(s), painting greeting cards for you, watering your garden, doing basic house chores like folding clothes, washing dishes, cleaning your bathrooms, vacuuming, etc. If anyone who lives near us needs these things done, I would love to help!
